[Latergram] Was in Woodlands for a tasting session today so we took the time to explore the area and chanced upon Rabbit Owl Depot 🐰🦉🏩 at The Woodgrove 😊 . Haven't dined at Rabbit Owl Depot before even though we always pass by their outlet at Bugis and it was with great excitement that we finally got down to trying their beautiful snowflake waffles! ❄ . The snowflake waffles come in a variety of flavours and we tried out the Chocolate Melt 🍫, Cookie Butter 🍪 and Bamboo Charcoal flavours! My personal favourite of the three was the Cookie Butter 🍪 waffle (that's the one in the middle!) because its pockets were full of cookie butter spread. So yummy!!! 😍 . I also really like the Chocolate Melt 🍫 waffle (the one on the left!) because the chocolate chips were partially melted in the waffle dough causing the entire waffle to have a lovely chocolate flavour 😋 . What I like about all Rabbit Owl Depot's snowflake waffles are how light they taste. Perhaps owing to their snowflake shape ❄, the waffles have a really crisp exterior while being suitably fluffy at the centre. In fact, I can confidently say that the waffles here are one of the better ones I've had in Singapore 😀 . When it comes to the ice cream 🍦 though, I felt like there was nothing special about the two scoops which we had. They tasted rather ordinary and really, thank goodness for the waffles which were the stars of the show 🌟🌟🌟

Review & Photo From @ariane.le That feeling when you're having dinner with friends and they start digging into their food before you've had a chance to take pictures so you can only capture what's in front of you 🤣 any foodies familiar with that feeling? 🙊 . Phototaking aside, this was a wonderful meal with the secondary school clique! ❤ . Took this opportunity to introduce one of my dear friends to Gu Thai's deliciously piquant boat noodles 🍲 He chose the 🌶🌶🌶 spice level aka 'extra hot' spiciness for his bowl of noodles (not pictured here but the broth was so dark in colour and looked like a spicy hellhole!) and he didn't even find it spicy at all omg! 😲 well, I guess only a 变态 person can take such 变态 spiciness hahah 😜 . Unlike him, I didn't feel like killing my tastebuds today so I had the 🌶 spice level for my beef noodles (that's mine in the picture with the relatively clear broth!) ✌ . This time round, the broth wasn't as intense as the 🌶🌶 beef noodles I had previously, and I found that I could enjoy my noodles more when I didn't have to keep quenching the spiciness between every few mouthfuls 😆 . I guess I know what spice level I'll be sticking to the next time I dine at Gu Thai ✌ @visit_singapore Recommendations IF YOU HAVENT TRIED @waffesg @waffesg @waffesg you are missing out on the best waffles in Country!! . . . 🙏🙏🙏 Follow @Singapore.eats @Dubaigastronomy @Ariane.le @hungryunicornsg For more Singapore & JB Foodie insider Tips! #singapore.eats #singsporeeats #singaporeinsiders #singaporephotographer #holidayphotographer #vacationphotographer #travellingphotographer #travelingphotographer #destinationphotographer #travelandleisure #sgfood #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #burpplesg #eatoutsg #foodsg #foodpornsg  #cafesg #dessert #foodtime #sgeats

Kopi and kaya butter toasts at this outlet was on point. Reminds us of how kopi and kaya butter toasts used to be. Piping hot, slight bitter with kopi aroma lingering in your breath. Kaya toasts, thin and crispy, never stale. 👍🏻 #Fluffyshares #whati8today #whatfluffyeats #sgeats #foodsg #sgfoodies #igfood #instafood #foodgram #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #igsg #localfood #kopi #kayabuttertoasts

Spotted salmon fish head fresh and cheap at Geylang Serai Market, couldn't resist buying two home. Popped one into freezer, the other is cleaned and cut into butterfly halves for grilling Japanese style. The split salmon head is marinated in a mixture of ginger juice, miso, mirin and some sugar and oven grilled for close to 15 mins. Voilà, we have grilled miso salmon fish head! It is so easy to prepare but so delectable. . . . . #mamatancooks #grilledsalmonfishheadjapanesestyle #grilledmisosalmonfishhead #grilledfishhead #homecooked #homecooking #japanesecookingstyle #sgeats #easyrecipe #geylangserai
